In-Home Therapy

Physical Therapy That Comes to You in Lakewood

Lakewood is one of the Front Range's most active communities. Tucked between Denver's energy and the foothills of Jefferson County, it is also home to people who need physical therapy and occupational therapy and face real barriers getting to a clinic. Surgery recovery. Chronic pain. Balance challenges. Limited mobility. Busy schedules.

Roaming Rehab removes those barriers. A licensed physical therapist or occupational therapist comes to your home, 1-on-1, on your schedule. You get the same evidence-based care you would receive at a clinic, delivered in the environment where you actually live. Whether you are healing from a knee replacement near Bear Creek Lake Park, managing chronic pain in Belmar, or working to stay active near the trails of Green Mountain, in-home PT is built for your life.

Serving Lakewood and surrounding Jefferson County. We travel throughout the Denver Metro area and are available Monday through Friday by appointment. Call 303-720-4244 to schedule.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions: Physical Therapy in Lakewood

Yes. Roaming Rehab provides mobile physical and occupational therapy throughout Lakewood and the surrounding Jefferson County area. We travel directly to your home, Monday through Friday by appointment. Contact us to confirm your specific address is within our service area.

Colorado is a direct-access state, which means many patients can begin physical therapy without a physician referral. We communicate and coordinate with your primary care physician, surgeon, or medical team. Insurance coverage for ongoing sessions may vary by plan. We will discuss this on our intake call before your first visit.

We work with adults managing arthritis, back and neck pain, knee and hip pain, joint replacements, neurological diagnoses such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke, balance and fall prevention, lymphedema management, incontinence therapy, vestibular disorders, cardiac events, pulmonary disease, cancer-related weakness and fatigue, and general deconditioning. If your condition is not listed, contact us and we will let you know whether we can help.

Yes. Roaming Rehab is an enrolled Medicare Part B provider. Medicare Advantage PPO plans are likely covered and we verify each plan before your first visit. Your first session is a comprehensive evaluation with treatment. Your therapist will review your health history, assess your movement and strength, and identify the specific issues affecting your recovery. You will receive a personalized plan built around your goals and your home environment. Treatment starts day 1!

In a clinic, treatment happens in a generic space that has nothing to do with your daily life. Clinics are often busy and you may get seen by the PT, their assistant, and an aide all in the same visit. You may get seen at the same time as another patient. In your home, your therapist sees your actual stairs, your furniture, the layout you navigate every day. That context changes how your program is designed. You receive the same clinical quality, but your exercises and recommendations are built around where you actually need to function.

Home health is a specific level of care that most often occurs after a hospitalization. This is often billed under your inpatient (Medicare Part A) benefits. You typically must be homebound. Roaming Rehab is a mobile outpatient provider that is billed under Medicare Part B. With outpatient therapy, you do not need to be homebound. We bring excellent, clinic level care to you. Home health helps you survive in the home. We help you thrive in your community.

Yes. Fall prevention is one of our specialties, and in-home PT is especially effective for older adults because balance training and fall risk assessment can be conducted right in your home, where the real hazards exist. Falling is not normal. Balance can improve. Your therapist will assess your specific environment and build a program around your actual daily routine.

Call us at 303-720-4244 or visit our contact page to schedule your initial evaluation. Our team will confirm your location, discuss your condition, verify your insurance, and get you scheduled at a time that works. We are available Monday through Friday, by appointment.
